The War Tour Collective (formerly known as the War Tour) formed back in 2006 with only four members. After a year of performing a plethora of shows in the Bay Area, the group took a few months to recoup and re-calibrate. The collective grew to six solid members by 2008. The idea behind this project was to create a soundtrack to the upcoming tour which would take the group up and down the West Coast in the span of 3 months. Crew members Chef and J7 gathered together a collection of beats and introduced them to the team. The following week the crew gathered for a 24-hour recording session and behold, A Call To Action was birthed. Using the inner talents of various group members, the crew was able to do all of the graphic design and promo, mix and master the album, and get 1500 CD's pressed. Due to the success of the tour, the album sold out quickly and was never re-released until now. We hope you enjoy the sheer dopeness of how it all came together and relive our experience through the music. Peace!
